Love Is In The Air

LOVE ! LOVE ! LOVE !

Love is such a big word....it can mean so many things in different people's mind.
What is LOVE to you ? Being cared or to care for someone ? Making sacrifices ?

To me ,
Love is basically people showing their love and affections towards each other .
When it comes to being in a relationship, making sacrifices come into place.

Shocked !!!

Shocked!!
The numbers on the clock shows 11:30 a.m. Being it like any other Sunday , I slowly get out of bed thinking of how I should spend the rest of the day . I stand up slowly to get my balance first before taking my first step . My feet feels as if they weighed a tonne , dragging heavily as I am walking towards the kitchen to make breakfast .

Suddenly , the phone shrills " Ring ! Ring ! " As I am still half asleep and my eyes can barely open , the loud ringing scared the living daylights out of me ! My heart is beating so fast that it suddenly made me alert and awake . I rushed to answer my mobile phone . " Hello ? " the husky voice from the other side said . I replied with a friendly " Hello " back , still feeling a little disoriented . I asked breathlessly the person on the line who she was , but she just ignored my query .

It's Not Fair !!!

In February , a dance competition was being held at Pavillion Mall in conjunction with the " Michael Jackson's Thriller Live Concert " which will be happening in March . My mom's dance school sent in a group of dancers to compete . As we were only informed about the competition in January , we had very limited time to practice .

Our dance group consists of children from as young as the age of 5 till 19 . We named our group " Acts - Treme 10 " as there were 10 of us . Our dance teacher , Miss Vivian Chan  , choreographed a 5 minute dance using a variety of Michael Jackson's songs such as " I'll Be There " , " You Are Not Alone " and " Bad " .

An embarassing moment from my past (fictional)

As the sun set and the moon slowly appeared through the clouds and sparkling stars , I gaze out the open window only to realise that the sky was slowly starting to fill up with dark clouds .. The distinct sound of thunder rumbling could be heard as the sound waves travelled to my ears . Being very afraid of the ominous roars of thunder , I quickly stretched my hand out to reach for the window handle . I shut the window tight to ensure the interior of the house would not get wet when it poured . Just as soon as I let go of the window handle , the first rain droplet landed on the window .

Soon , the window looked as if it was diseased with spots . The only thing I can do then was to watch some cartoons on the television before I sleep . At this time of the day , all channels would be showing cartoons , one of which is my favourite , " Tom & Jerry " . Just as it was coming to the exciting part , suddenly , the television just shut off automatically . The screen became pitched black . It was as if the television was haunted . I yelled at the top of my lungs to alert my father that something was wrong with the television . He hurried down the stairs to check on the television .

After much shifting of the television and the colourful wires connected to the power socket , then only did my father realise that maybe it was the stormy weather which affected the television . Although it was raining heavily outside , he insisted on going out to check on the condition of the television antenna located on our roof . True enough as my dad looked up towards the sky , he noticed that the antenna was broken .

All About Norway

ALL ABOUT NORWAY

If I were given an opportunity to live in another country other than Malaysia , it would be Norway . There is a myriad of scenic and magnificient views which definitely attracts my attention . Norway is also known as " The Land of The Midnight Sun " , where half a year is bathed in total daylight and the other six months under the shroud of night . During the season of daylight , the sun would be shining brightly for 22 hours . The skies will only be dark for 2 hours in a day , usually between 3a.m. to 5a.m. However , during the other half of the year where it is totally dark , the citizens would have to consume vitamins such as Vitamin D in capsule or pill form as supplements as the source of natural sunlight is limited .

I would say Norway is the best place to live because the citizens get to enjoy the best of life . Although the cost of living is extremely high , it is worth it . The government uses the peoples' tax money to build roads which emit heat especially during winter . Other than that , the people are only required to work 6 hours a day . Those who work more than that would be thought lowly by the rest of the company .

As Malaysia only has one season ; summer , it is very different compared to Norway . Living in a country which has winter as one of the seasons would be a great experience as I would love to touch and feel snow some day . Twenty - seven degree celsius is the warmest temperature Norway would experience throughout the year , my ideal temperature for living . Malaysia is way too hot with the scorching sun burning my skin .

Norway is known to have the freshest seafood especially salmon . Salmon from Norway is something worth dying for . The first time I tried the Norwegian salmon made me crave for more . The fish is just so fresh and the sweetness of it just makes my mind go crazy . Besides salmon , Norway also has a traditional dish , which is fish soup . It comes either in curry or clear soup base . People in Norway usually eat it with rice . The rice in Norway is similar to the ones in Malaysia . Long grain and fragrant . The best place to enjoy this scrumptious dish is in a quaint town called Bergen . An area of the town is known as a UNESCO heritage site . It is also painted with a myriad of colours . There is also a fishermen's wharf directly in front of the colourful row of buildings . People just sit there to enjoy the nice cold breeze . If I were given a choice , I would definitely choose to stay and live here in Bergen .

The buildings and shops are built in a very unique way where it is slightly slanted . As I love climbing mountains , this is also an ideal town to live as there is a mountain located slightly off the centre of Bergen called Mount Floyen . It is about 425 metres to the highest point of the mountain . For those who hate hiking up are also able to visit Mount Floyen by taking the furnicular up . Up on Mount Floyen sits a famous fine dining restaurant . The restaurant serves a variety of traditional Norwegian dishes . A section of the peak of Mount Floyen is decorated with statues of trolls . Standing near the trolls at night can be quite scary although it is said to bring good luck .
Norway also has other famous and interesting sightseeing places which I love visiting and do not mind visiting over and over again .

The heavy water plant is located in a place called Vemork . Many years ago , the plant was built to generate electricity . Fortunately , it was blown up by a commando unit of British and Norwegians known as " The Heroes of Telemark " . This area is now converted to a museum named Vemork Museum . The amount of remains from the heavy water plant is outrageous . I could just spend days exploring the museum . A tour around the museum is also included . The tour includes showing how the heavy water plant operates . Once a part of the plant stops functioning , no electricity could be generated . It is designed very detailed .

The other reason why I would want to live in Norway is because it is surrounded by magnificient and spectacular fjords . For those who don't know what fjords are , here it is....... it is a long narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs , created by glacial erosion .

In between the fjords would usually have long clear lakes . The most amazing fjord is called the Hardangerfjord . Ferry rides are available there too . The ride usually takes people and cars too from Utne to Kvanndal . The journey takes about one hour or so i think (can't really remember). Camera is a must have on this ride . The sky is absolutely clear and the smell of fresh water usually fills the air and surroundings . I could just spend the whole day relaxing on the ferry . However , the ferry ride was extremely cold . It sends chills over my whole body . Layers and layers of clothes would have to be worn during the ride . If you are feeling hungry , there is a mini cafe in the ferry itself . I did not purchase anything from the cafe so I can't say anything about the food . However , although I did not taste the food , I must say it is delicious as it smells really good .

These are all the attractions which makes me want to live in Norway forever . Norway would certainly be a country I would love to be for my lifetime .
